Suggestions for 2010 - 2018 are available on request.
The topics of interest are often linked to changes in the organisational landscapes emerging across the world, but now with a slant towards philanthropy in general and African philanthropy in particular. Thinking and practices of ethical corporate, responsible social investment are gaining my attention. Issues of (the privatization of) development financing are still gaining prominence, while concerns about shrinking civic space remain unabated. The politics and technical factors in measuring performance remain in debate.
The topics for this year – with publications where they often overlap - reflect these trends and others that I try to keep on my radar screen.
